The Bill of Rights is not negotiable

There is a destructive, delusional meme spreading like a virus among many misguided Americans. It pushes the idea that government can pick and choose which rights codified in the Bill of Rights it wishes to recognize or discard on any given day.

This delusion is predicated on the concept that if a popular majority can be emotionally whipped into a frenzy over one particular right, then that right can simply be discarded and stricken from the Bill of Rights.

But no such power exists to discard any portion of the Bill of Rights, at least not without proper ratification by three-fourths of the fifty states. There is no such power found solely in the federal government. There is no such power placed solely in the executive branch, nor in Congress, nor in the White House.

The Bill of Rights describes a set of individual rights and liberties which are not granted by government, but recognized as DIVINE rights given to use by our Creator. Because government never granted the rights in the first place, it has no authority to take them away.

"The Framers of the Bill of Rights did not purport to "create" rights. Rather, they designed the Bill of Rights to prohibit our Government from infringing rights and liberties presumed to be preexisting." - William J Brennan Jr.

The individual liberties described in the Bill of Rights cannot be infringed, nor deleted, nor overridden by popular opinion... not even loudly screamed opinion. America is not a nation ruled by the tyranny of the mob. It isn't even a democracy -- it's a republic, where certain inalienable rights describe the protection of each individual, even if that individual is the lone voice of sanity in a majority gone mad. The Bill of Rights protects individuals from the tyranny of mob rule -- a phenomenon that routinely rears its head in any society where historical illiteracy is rampant and the masses are lulled into a state of complacency by charismatic but dishonest leaders.

It was the extended amendments attached to the Bill of Rights that outlawed slavery, guaranteeing individual freedom to those of African descent even in a time and place when the majority of voting citizens believed slavery was socially acceptable. And it was the Second Amendment that put firearms into the hands of those recently-freed slaves, ensuring that they could defend themselves against attackers of any color through the powerful expression of armed defense (aided by the laws of physics and certain materials from the table of elements, notably lead).

Another amendment beyond the Bill of Rights granted women equal voting rights in an age when the majority believed women should not be allowed to vote. It was the Bill of Rights that decriminalized prohibition, ending a dark era of mass criminalization of everyday citizens who suffered under the oppression of government law enforcement gone bad.

Yet today, incredibly, many African-Americans and women are actively assaulting the very document that first secured their own freedoms. They now wish to take their freedom and power and use it to enslave someone else by revoking other people's rights under the Bill of Rights. This is the ultimate social betrayal, and it is a powerful demonstration of the principle that those who do not respect freedom for others do not deserve it for themselves.

The Second Amendment is not negotiable

The Right to Keep and Bear Arms -- much like the Right of Free Speech -- is not negotiable. Its protections are not subject to the whims of majority opinion, nor the screaming demands of hyperventilating media personalities. All the social media trolls and opinion writers in the world can comment all they want on the Second Amendment, yet the individual right to keep and bear arms remains immutable.

Just like the Bill of Rights, the Second Amendment is not negotiable. No Governor, Senator or President has any power whatsoever to banish the Second Amendment, and any who attempt to oppose it only brand themselves as criminal traitors to the United States of America. Any active effort to eradicate the Second Amendment outside of law -- without going through the proper process of state ratification for Constitutional amendments -- is, by definition, an act of sedition against the United States of America and its people.

Ironically, many who viciously attack the Second Amendment do so by invoking their free speech protections under the First Amendment. Yet they seem blind to the realization that the First Amendment itself is only made possible by the Second Amendment which balances power between the People and the government, ensuring that the individual right to bear arms serves as a check and balance against the monopoly of violence every government inherently seeks.

Disarmament of the populace is always the first step to depriving them of their civil rights and human rights. Without the right to bear arms, there is no right to free speech, no right to due process, no right to trial by jury and certainly no right to be secured against unreasonable search and seizure. A government with a monopoly of force is a government that respects no boundaries and honors no limits.

Grasping this point requires competent thinking, which is why so many who now flourish in America on the popularity of pop culture idiocy fail to understand it. It is intellectually lazy to blame gun rights for violence, requiring no depth of thought or reason. Only someone of higher awareness and possessing the aptitude for multi-layered thinking can realize the critical importance of distributed firepower in stopping government violence against the People. As Ron Paul recently said, "Government security is just another kind of violence."

Ron Paul gets it. He understands that an imbalance of power in the hands of government inevitably leads to mass violence waged against the People. Those who are currently screaming for the population to be disarmed do not realize that in seeking to prevent one kind of violence (school shootings), they are unleashing a far more disastrous and horrifying violence by allowing the government to monopolize physical power over the citizens. This is a mistake that has been repeated throughout history, often at the cost of tens of millions of destroyed lives. The Second Amendment was put in place precisely for the purpose of making sure that future Americans would not fall for the same mistake yet again. That's why it is the second highest amendment, right after the right of free speech, indicating its crucial priority in the enumeration of sacred rights that must be protected at all costs.

For starters, 116,000% more Americans die each year in motor vehicle accidents than were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary. You are far more likely to be killed by a deer in the road than a psychopathic mass shooter. And you are WAY more likely to be killed by your doctor than by a gun: An astonishing 784,000 Americans are killed each year by their doctors.

Approximately one-quarter of all Americans have been emotionally manipulated into worshipping a false prophet: Barack Obama, one of the world’s great mass murderers of children who is right now signing off on yet more unarmed drone bombings of innocent children in Libya, Afghanistan, and soon Syria and Iran. You don’t see those children on television, and Obama sheds no tears for them. 2012 Armageddon: Just Another Cowardly Cop Out

When (not if) we wake on Saturday December 22 to find all of mankind still slumbering along the road to rapture, we will be reminded of the fact that the build-up to Armageddon was a sham from start to finish- and the Mayans have nothing whatever to do with it.

Psychological programmers have flooded the internet with stories and images of impending doom as a result of our planet’s transgressions through the “photon belt.” Long before the Mayan calender was ever predesignated to signify global Armageddon, converging star-signs were supposed to shatter the planet, with Pisces converging with Capricorn, at an angle of exactly such and such degrees. A celestial mix of apocalyptic preconditions as a result of which earth and its inhabitants will float away on ethereal air currents. An obscure, as of yet undetected planet is apparently hurrying through the solar system, diametrically avoiding telescopes to crash at the exact time the ancient Mayans chose to end their mythological calendar… one of their calendars, that is. I have always considered it an act of extreme psychological acrobatics to reconcile boundless infinity, with all its countless galaxies and empty space, with the finite fancies of astrology, covering after all only our most immediate celestial neighbors. Regardless of ones own beliefs in regards to these matters, the point is that social engineers strive to know precisely where the nerve-endings of our hopes (and fears) are to be found, and subsequently lay them bare for tyrants to trample on.

Of course history records so many impending days of doom, that if they would all have come to pass, the earth would have been destroyed a thousand times over. This sobering fact does not in the least affect the end-of-days advocates. Proponents of these mythologies (uniformly building their speculations upon an interpretation of the Mayan calendar) usually shy away from actual reality unfolding as we speak. They prefer busying themselves with the latest message from planet Zordac instead.

Such innocent little indulgences usually go hand in hand with less innocent ones. After all, in order to properly receive the alien visitors, we must first organize a one world order.

Such star trek visions would indeed be innocent if not for the overall passive demeanor created in the process. Why act if the battle for freedom will be decided by an expected catastrophe descending from the heavens? It is easy to throw your hands in the air and to drift aimlessly on ethereal air currents. It is hard, on the other hand, to challenge the very real New World Order that is engaged in depopulation policies on record. What if you just found out that cancer in America began when food processing plants became prominent and people moved closer to the industrial plants, where the jobs were, just after World War II? The world is on the precipice of world war three. The situation in Syria is heating up, as the United States and its allies continue to arm the largely Islamist opposition with the intent to bring down the current regime.

Turkey's interference in the conflict has put the region further on edge. On Friday, June 22, Syria shot down a Turkish plane that was illegally inside Syria's territory. The message that is being sent by both governments is clear: we are not afraid of war.

But the people of the region are sick of war. The public in the Middle East, including Turkey, overwhelmingly oppose a NATO intervention in Syria. Syrians and Turks don't want to die for another man's war. They want peace and stability between Syria and Turkey.

Syria is not experiencing a revolution, but coming under attack from foreigners, both those near its borders like Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Israel, as well as more powerful ones in the West.

Washington and London bear the greatest responsibility for the chaos and bloodshed in Syria. They are funding and arming Jihadist terrorist groups who have no concern for human life. The atrocities that have been committed against Syrian civilians have the fingerprints of the CIA. And yet Assad has unfairly received the blame for the violence because there is a U.S.-Saudi-Israeli plan to remove him from power, destroy Syria, and thereby de-link Iran from Hezbollah.

As the Olympics approaches, premonitions of impending doom and mass terror-attacks will dominate a large part of the alternative media. Already the internet is abuzz with countless videos, pointing to a vast Illuminate plot climaxing into a disastrous false flag attack this summer. If you believe in Illuminati-driven predictive programming prefacing the Olympic Games of 2012, the following video created by a Chinese broadcaster will be an elaborate dish to fill the stomach:

 “Whatever is disclosed to the public”, Alan Watt said, “is actually obsolete in a sense.” Knowing that people are animals of habit, the elite routinely weaves concepts into dramatic expressions, such as film, radio, and now the virtual reality online. In the case of the many announcements of impending doom prefacing the Olympics popping up all over the internet, I believe we are dealing with a very subtle strain of programming, largely distributed with the aim of preparing people not for any apocalyptic event unfolding but rather to raise expectations to such an unprecedented level that many well-meaning truth seekers will eventually hit themselves on the head, and subsequently disengage themselves from the arena. When the dreaded Games have come and gone with the stars unshaken and the sky unchanged- and rest assured they will be after the summer- another objective will have been accomplished: the inevitable anti-climax will do more damage to the truth than any apocalyptic event foreboded. A recent example of such “reversed predictive programming” is operation Blackjack.

Operation Blackjack

In January of 2009, the London Telegraph began featuring several graphics under the name operation blackjack. The images themselves are artistically inferior, depicting major ‘terrorist’ attacks both in Europe and the continental United States.

But the artistry- or lack of it- is less interesting than the intent. In the vulgar display we witness a plethora of horrific events across the globe, igniting not only utter chaos and devastation but also a “Union of North America” (UNA), created to combat the calamities and consolidate an Anglo-American government with extraordinary authority over its people. One aspect of the gallery that is especially intriguing is the abundance of Illuminate-symbols with which the pictures have been spray painted: several references to a “New Dawn”; a policeman wearing a Nazi-style eagle on his hat accompanied by the new flag under which the “Union of North America” (UNA) operates; the eye, the sun, a snake biting its own tale.

As to the identity of the “artist” responsible for the macabre series, journalists at the UK Telegraph remained strangely silent. Considering MI5 and MI6 are known for planting messages in the bloodstream of mass media, we may speculate that Blackjack was devised to pursue some kind of objective. (CONTINUE READING)

Associated Press caught lying about water fluoridation

It seems as though every time an American town or city drops the added fluoride chemicals from its water supply, the dinosaur media comes out with its usual talking points about how water fluoridation is one of the greatest public health interventions ever granted by the government to its minions, and that without added fluoride chemicals, everyone’s teeth would rot right out of their heads.

These are just a few of the many deluded and outdated lies that get repeated over and over, ad nauseam, every time a community dares to challenge the prevailing fluoride dogma of the day — and these are lies that, fortunately, many people are learning to simply disregard. But one of the more sneaky lies now getting repeated is the one which implies that added fluoride chemicals are no different than the naturally occurring fluoride elements already present in many water supplies.
In a recent piece published at emissourian.com, for instance, which reads more like an epitaph, the Associated Press (AP) bemoans the fact that Pevely, Missouri, a local community near St. Louis, has decided to stop adding fluoride to its water supply in order to conserve much-needed funds. And in memorializing the great loss of its beloved fluoride in Pevely, the AP makes false insinuations that added fluoride chemicals are exactly the same as naturally occurring fluoride minerals. 2-minute video: FOX edits, fakes applause for John Bolton pro-war statement

The 2-minute video is a public meeting of former US Ambassador to the UN John Bolton responding to a US war veteran’s question. The video shows that FOX then edits-out the audience response to replace it with applause from a different person’s question. The proof is that the applause-segment shows a different person walking away from the microphone than the person who asked the question. The veteran testified that the audience booed Mr. Bolton’s answer.

This is not just FOX, but all of the six mega-media US corporations who lie by commission and omission as war propagandists.


 
I previously documented FOX “reporting”, CBS, ABC, and CNN war propaganda by picking a day to look at their “news” and simply showing what they say. Importantly, one could do this every single day with similar examples of what I wrote on CNN’s published work of “credible” journalism:

When we now know that all claims for war with Iraq were known lies as they were told(and verbally explained here), and CNN provides similar innuendo for war by an unsourced alleged report with concerns of what might occur in the future allegedly stated by an unnamed US source reporting on an unnamed foreign source, this is propaganda and not news.

You might need to read the above twice to feel the impact of this choice of communication from CNN, then verify the source to see this is exactly what they reported.

C-Span callers hammer home U.S. government’s role in aiding Abdulmutallab

A proponent of the war on terror was left with egg on his face during a recent C-Span appearance when caller after caller hammered home the fact that the underwear bomber, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, was allowed to board Delta flight 253 by the U.S. government.

The victim of this ‘truth bomb’ was Mickey McCarter, a prominent mouthpiece for the military-industrial complex that relies heavily on the manufactured ‘war on terror’ to the tune of billions of dollars every year. McCarter is a journalist specializing in “homeland security matters” and has also worked for government agencies like the US Navy’s Bureau of Naval Personnel and the Defense Contract Management Agency.

After discussing the recent conviction of the underwear bomber with no mention of the fact that he boarded the plane only with the aid of the U.S. government, McCarter faced a barrage of callers who set him straight. The first caller immediately drew attention to Flight 253 passenger Kurt Haskell, an attorney who witnessed a well dressed Indian man force airport officials to let Abdulmutallab board the plane despite the fact that he had no passport and was on a terror watchlist.

“Why would a CIA agent….get that guy on the plane,” the caller asked, to which McCarter responded by claiming, “I am not familiar with the story,” before erroneously claiming that Abdulmutallab “raised no alarm”. (CONTINUE READING)

Iran attacked no other country in over 200 years. It threatens none now. It’s neighbors know it. So do Washington and Israel. 

Nonetheless, saber rattling warnings continue. At issue is making an independent state a client one. It’s why Washington orchestrated Syria’s insurgency and continues anti-Iranian propaganda.

Tehran won’t tolerate losing its sovereignty, nor should it. It suffered a generation of repression under Washington’s installed Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi after the CIA’s first ever coup ousted democratically elected Mohammad Mosaddegh.

It also knows how America and Israel reign terror throughout the region. As a result, it’s prepared to defend itself if attacked.

America’s business is war, permanent war for unchallenged global dominance. Post-9/11, multiple ones raged and continue. Ordinary people want them stopped.

On February 4, dozens of anti-war organizations held a “Day of Mass Action to Stop a US War on Iran.” Among others, The World Can’t Wait announced it headlining, “NO war! NO sanctions! No intervention! No Assassinations.”

A press release listed dozens of participating US cities, large and small. Other known countries involved included Canada, Britain, India, Ireland, Turkey, Norway, and Bangladesh.

Former US Attorney General Ramsey Clark participated. In 1992, he founded the International Action Center (IAC). Calling itself “anti-capitalist and anti-imperialist,” it’s committed against wars, racism, economic exploitation, and other forms of injustice.

Its web site urged worldwide participation in an “emergency” protest day of action.

Thousands across America alone participated. Follow-up actions are planned. People are fed up and want America’s war machine stopped. Vital resources are squandered while growing needs go unaddressed.

Major media scoundrels misreported about Saturday’s pro and anti-government protests in Moscow, but ignored anti-war ones in their own cities and across America.

In fact, they cheerlead Washington’s wars. For months, they regurgitated hostile Syrian/Iranian propaganda. Their drumbeat continues daily.

Their misinformation promotes war, mass killing, vast destruction, and human misery. Their reports exclude these and other key facts. Instead they feature agitprop and bald-faced lies about a nonbelligerent state, threatening on one, including America and Israel.

On February 2, FAIR’s Peter Hart headlined, “Iran: This is What Propaganda Looks Like,” saying:
Like crabgrass infests lawns, it’s “everywhere, thanks to a Senate appearance yesterday by Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.”

Yet his comments fell far short of justifying heightened anti-Iranian propaganda in response. “His main point was that Iran could launch attacks if it felt threatened.” He also cited falsified claims that should have been condemned, not repeated as alleged facts.
For example, he said:

“The 2011 plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to the United States shows that some Iran officials – probably including (Ayatollah) Ali Khamenei – have changed their calculus and are now more willing to conduct an attack in the United States in response to real or perceived US actions that threaten the regime.”

Given the fact that the US and Israel are both yearning for a casus belli to launch an attack on Iran, added to recent history where a staged provocation was considered, and in addition to the innumerable examples of false flags overseen by the Obama administration alone, the threat of staged terror has never been greater.

Unlike the plethora of fake terror alerts that former Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge admitted were issued for political propaganda, this one is very serious indeed.

The American public are being bombarded with the same propaganda in two similar but separate formats, one that Iran is looking to launch a terror attack on U.S. soil, and two that domestic extremists also pose a violent threat.

However, as recent history tells us, it is the government itself which routinely stages and facilitates violent events in pursuit of its political objectives, therefore the same interests should be the number one suspects if and when violent events occur.

US intelligence officials last week upped the rhetoric against Iran during congressional testimony by claiming that Tehran is prepared to launch reprisal attacks inside the United States.

Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper Jr. cited the alleged Iranian plot to assassinate a Saudi ambassador on U.S. soil as a sign that, “Some Iranian officials — probably including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei — have changed their calculus and are now more willing to conduct an attack in the United States in response to real or perceived U.S. actions that threaten the regime.”

As we documented at the time, according to retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Shaffer, no information concerning the supposed plot even existed within FBI channels, strongly suggesting the story was manufactured by the Obama administration. With this in mind, and noting an overt, ongoing series of bold acts of war carried out by the US and Israel inside of Iran, along with sanctions and planned blockades, also acts of war, the corporate-financier oligarchs have been confounded by what seems to be infinite Iranian patience to endure such provocations. The race for the Republican presidential nominee has been dominated so far, in terms of money, by the super PAC—political action committees established by wealthy individuals trying to influence who wins the GOP nomination.
 
Front-runner Mitt Romney has benefited from several super PACs, including one using $1 million from hedge-fund magnate John Paulson, and another involving the Marriott brothers (yes, the hotel chain) who also gave $1 million.

If Romney becomes the Republican challenger to President Barack Obama, and wins in November, it’s safe to say that Obama’s financial reforms for Wall Street, limited though they may be, will be in danger of being overturned, since Paulson is big on getting rid of them.

The Marriott brothers, meanwhile, would expect for their help getting Romney into the Oval Office “favorable tax and immigration policies through their hotel companies,” according to The Washington Post.
Not all of the super PACs are in Romney’s corner. Casino owner Sheldon Adelson has spent at least $5 million on a group supporting Newt Gingrich. Adelson’s priorities include helping Israel and making life easier for the gambling industry.

Another big-money player has been Our Destiny PAC, which was helping Jon Huntsman. With the former Utah governor out of the race, it is unclear what Our Destiny plans to do with its money.

“There are probably fewer than 100 people who are fueling 90 percent of this outside money right now,” David Donnelly, national campaigns director at the Public Campaign Action Fund, an advocacy group favoring limits on political spending, told The Washington Post. “When you think about the amazing impact that this small number of people have on deciding the election, on the information that people will have on who to vote for, it’s mind-boggling.” (CONTINUE READING)

But don’t take our word for it, listen to what Joe Lieberman, co-sponsor of PIPA, SOPA’s sister version in the Senate, said about the purpose of behind the US government’s efforts to control the Internet under the guise of cybersecurity.

Lieberman characterized fears that the US government would use such powers to censor political content as “total misinformation,” yet goes on to admit that the purpose behind the agenda is to mimic China’s ability to “disconnect parts of its Internet in case of war,” adding, “we need that here too”.

Of course, Communist China’s “war” is not against foreign terrorists or hackers, it’s targeted against people who dare to use the Internet to express dissent against government atrocities or corruption. The Definitive Post On Why SOPA And Protect IP Are Bad, Bad Ideas

There's been plenty of talk (and a ton of posts here on Techdirt) discussing both SOPA (originally E-PARASITE) and PROTECT IP (aka PIPA), but it seemed like it would be useful to create a single, "definitive" post to highlight why both of these bills are extremely problematic and won't do much (if anything) to deal with the issues they're supposed to deal with, but will have massive unintended consequences. I also think it's important to highlight how PIPA is almost as bad as SOPA. Tragically, because SOPA was so bad, some in the entertainment industry have seen it as an opportunity to present PIPA as a "compromise." It is not. Both bills have tremendous problems, and they start with the fact that neither bill will help deal with the actual issues being raised.

That main issue, we're told over and over again, is "piracy" and specifically "rogue" websites. And, let's be clear: infringement is a problem. But the question is what kind of problem is it? Much of the evidence suggests that it's not an enforcement problem and it's not a legal problem. Decades of evidence from around the globe all show the same thing: making copyright law or enforcement stricter does not work. It does not decrease infringement at all -- and, quite frequently, leads to more infringement. That's because the reason that there's infringement in the first place is that consumers are being under-served. Historically, infringement has never been about "free," but about indicating where the business models have not kept up with the technology.

Thus, the real issue is that this is a business model problem. As we've seen over and over and over again, those who embrace what the internet enables, have found themselves to be much better off than they were before. They're able to build up larger fanbases, and to rely on various new platforms and services to make more money.

And, as we've seen with near perfect consistency, the best way, by far, to decrease infringement is to offer awesome new services that are convenient and useful. This doesn't mean just offering any old service -- and it certainly doesn't mean trying to limit what users can do with those services. And, most importantly, it doesn't mean treating consumers like they were criminals and "pirates." It means constantly improving the consumer experience. When that consumer experience is great, then people switch in droves. You can, absolutely, compete with free, and many do so. If more were able to without restriction, infringement would decrease. If you look at the two largest contributors to holding back "piracy" lately, it's been Netflix and Spotify. Those two services alone have been orders of magnitude more successful in decreasing infringement than any new copyright law. Because they compete by being more convenient and a better experience than infringement.
