The Ron Paul 2012 campaign is throwing itself behind a grass roots
organized fundraising drive today, encouraging supporters to donate to
reach a total of $4 million in one day.
On this day exactly four years ago, Paul set a new all time record
for fundraising by drawing more than $6.4
million in a 24 hour period.
Owing to the banker induced financial implosion, the campaign does
not realistically expect to break that record this time around, yet it
is still aiming high.
The 2007 “money bomb” was held to mark the anniversary of the Boston
Tea Party in 1773, and has widely been acknowledged as the inception
of what was to become more popularly known as the Tea Party movement.
The Paul campaign distributed an email last night calling for
supporters to embrace and spread the word regarding today’s Tea Party
money bomb. The campaign says it will use the funds to pay for further
ad buys and a last big promotional push before the Iowa caucus on
January 3 and the New Hampshire primary on January 10. (CONTINUE READING)
